What do you think is the Hawaii Department of Education’s greatest strength?

I appreciate that they encourage teacher voice via different platforms and teacher advocacy groups.

What do you think is the greatest strength about the complex area that you work in? What is your complex area known for?

Campbell-Kapolei Complex’s leadership team is cohesive. From my interaction with them on several teacher initiated complex wide events, they have demonstrated that they work together well as a team. From my experiences with them, they care about their teachers and their school.

What are some fun activities that individuals enjoy doing outside school hours within the COMPLEX AREA that you represent?

Enjoying the beach is very common since the beach is accessible. Many enjoy hiking.

Anything that includes nature; hiking, the beach

What do you enjoy most about the students you teach in Hawaii?

The heart of the students. Many of the local students have a great sense of obligation and connection to their family.

What do YOU enjoy doing in your free time while in Hawaii?

I enjoy exploring the different beaches, doing ocean activities, and any outdoor activities.

What’s YOUR favorite local food on your island? How would you describe the food?

I enjoy the different ethnic foods in Hawaii.

What’s your favorite place to eat on your island? What kind of food is it?

My favorites are Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Hawaiian food.
